So we survived Coachella and all the parties... Every year there are more and more parties and they get farther away from Coachella. i remember getting a text from Them Jeans after telling him how to get to the T-Mobile party i djed on saturday and he texted back saying he was almost 40 miles away. I see houses and places everywhere around the festival why not put them there! Highlights (i was only there saturday --- UFFIE & DJ MEHDI, MGMT, KAVINSKY, M.I.A.)

Anyway, we have the big jam at Cinespace tomorrow!! It's our annual Ed Banger X Dim Mak x Cobrasnake party. WHo was there last year?!! We had JFK from MSTRKRFT, A Trak, Busy P, Justice, So Me, DJ Mehdi, Them Jeans, Peaches, Blake Miller, myself. It was the most epic event in LA that i've ever seen. THis is pART DEUX! ALl in the back room and we got MEHDI, BUSY P, SO ME, DJ AM, myself, THEM JEANS, DAN O, special gues†s, and JEREMY SCOTT hosting with COBRASNAKE taking fotos and MURS guesting on the microphone as well!! Plus a lot of COACHELLA friends that are still in LA will be making guest appearances or just getting drunker than you.

ANd other stuff going on this week..I DJ TWO PARTIES TONIGHT! I'm djing tonight at a private party for LG with Benji & Joel Madden. You can only get in if you got an invite to the party already. I Dj at AREA later tonight from 12-2.. THis is open to you! so RSVP and well add you to the list...

DIM MAK X FOOLS GOLD, COACHELLA, AND BEYOND

The Dim Mak x Fools Gold tour was a smash hit. A Trak, Sinden, myself, Sammy Bananas, Nick Catchdubs and old homie Zane tour managing. The best date of the tour was by far Montreal, A Trak's old stomping grounds. That has to be one of my favorite cities in North America. It's always bangin' kids are on fire all night. I love Canada period. We took Cobrasnake's second camera with us so he's putting up fotos from our tour. As for special guests NYC we did Hiro Ballroom with Kid Cudi, Philly with Treasure Fingers, Toronto i had to dj in Ottawa, but they had Nacho Lovers, LA Riots djed with us in Seattle, Chicago with Cudi, Vancouver w/ LA Riots but iwas in LA, Montreal with Jokers of the Scene, San Francisco was the crew with Trackademicks. We plan to hit the road again soon and we made these dope shirts for the tour that due to customs from Peru missed MONTREAL, TORONTO and PHILLY. So we have a few left over for sale that will be available online next week. These are limited to 300 shirts.

Some other notes...By the way, the El Paso date that was last week is now moved to May 22nd. Banana SPlit last night was lots of fun - did it again with me Am Mike B and guests Jefrodisiac from SF and Roxy Cottontail for her big birthday bash partay. Tomorrow for Dim Mak Tuesdays we have DAEDELUS, HER SPACE HOLIDAY, DESIGNER DRUGS and JHN RDDN alongside myself, THem Jeans and Dan-O. I'm actually in LA for longer than a day and it feels good. The following week at Cinespace, the tuesday after Coachella is gonna be a huge BLOW OUT... its our 2 year anniversary for the ED BANGER X DIM MAK X COBRASNAKE event hosted by Jeremy Scott with Busy P, DJ Mehdi, SO Me, DJ AM, LA RIOTS, THEM JEANS, DAN-O, myself and special guests all night. ALL IN THE BACK ROOM ACTION! And it's the official launch of the RETROSPEX and PILLOWFACE TEES all available online and in person. Wednesday i head to Cincinnatti Ohio. Thursday in Santa Barbara. Friday Las Vegas at Moon. and .... here is the Coachella schedule...

UFFIE goes on 1:30PM SATURDAY!!! with DJ MEHDI!!! she's second up on stage so get there early and getting through Coachella traffic is serious so start early cuz she's got an amazing show lined up. I'm djing the T-MObile Party saturday night w/ DJ AM and Danny Masterson aka MOm JEAns in an airplane hanger Sunday day time I'll be djing the SMURFS party and the MUSIC LOVES FASHION party then taking a plane to Long Beach in the evening to dj the annual TOKYO NIGHT jam where i get to hang with my peoples. Monday i do a private event with Benji and Joel Madden in LA. and the schedule begins again...

DIM MAK X FOOLS GOLD MID TOUR RECAP

I'm in the middle of the dim mak x fools gold tour and I've had some of the most memorable shows I've ever played. the crew is a trak myself sinden and sammy bananas with fools gold special guests at different shows. Montreal was incredible and it was a neon dl show at sat that was one of the best shows we've all ever had. We played in philly on sunday chilled with diplo in the mad decent mausoleum and played at the barbary. I have two days off so I flew back to la. Just got done djing at one sunset and tomorrow our beloved dim mak tuesdays at cinespace which ill be representing and djing with partner them jeans and resident dan-o. Wednesday we start back the tour in chicago play at the metro. Tour continues on in vancouver and I come back to la to dj a us weekly party and we all meet up in seattle at war room then end at folsom in san francisco. For chicago dates on we willl have the dim mak x fools gold tour shirts for sale so get yours at the shows. WMC 2008 WRAP UP

Last night at Les Deux was definitely the best night I've ever seen there. Honestly i didn't think it would go over but everyone, at least, for last night, wanted to hear different shit than your regular Hollywood night out. Pase Rock opened, I djed then Xavier from Justice went on.

Winter Music Conference 2008 was a lot of fun. Got there wednesday had a Dim Mak vs. Fools Gold dinner at Prime w/ MSTRKRFT and the crew and A Trak and his crew. THen djed at Suite Snatch w/ Eli Escobar and a bunch of others that played earlier. Thursday saw Digitalism and Boys Noize then surprised A Trak for another group b-day dinner later head to Set to dj with LA Riots, DJ AM and MSTRKRFT. Friday I stayed in Miami and cancelled my gig to Chicago cuz i felt sick. Got sleep then later ended up djing at MANSION with DJ AM and Jazzy Jeff. Saturday did the day sleep and played a guest set at Rokbar for the MSTRKRFT/Undocumented Party and then later played at Dek23 w/ Felli Fel and Klutch. It was a long trip and my ears are still clogged from my last plane flight.

i djed at Pure in las vegas two nights aho while in la we (dim mak) had digitalism dj back room at our party. heard the party was off the rocker but pure was kinda dope cuz i played britney spears and lil wayne all night long.....and carrot top and mike tyson came up to me in the dj booth to say whats up...daaaamnnn

In miami now just played my first wmc gig at suite snatch met up and ate with all the homies a trak and fools gold crew, alex from boys noize, mstrkrft la riots matt my manager and later met up with my keyboard crew mike theanne junior sanchez and felix da housecat. Good first night. Tonite is a big night in the smallest club in miami, set. Were brigning banana split to miami. Myself am mstrkrft, the bloody beetroots were supposed to play, and our dj co roster eli escobar fashen and the crew and of course our resident mike b as well. I fly to chicago to dj at lumen friday night then fly bak to do dek 23 in miami and support mstrkrft at their gig at rok bar. Ill be back sunday for our yard sale. So now we got nylon tv, dim mak collection, cobrasnake, cory kennedy, lna, hippo giraffe, I'm selling a bunch of random shit as well and music djs foood beer etc all at dim mak hq on hollywood blvd near vermont all day affair Another big very important note, The milan italy gig has moved to the 7th! Me and mark are at the airport in Taipei heading home from our spring break tour. Malaysia/Zouk was one of the best shows of the year and its only March... 1500 kids going ape shit, can't wait to get back to them... Our yard sale in Malaysia was a hit. Malaysia is GREEEN and WET... its Monsooon season right now. The kids were giving it up last night! And it was a mixed crowd since it was for the big F1 Race that i heard over 100,000 people attend. INsane night. plus Zouk has that F1 (no similarity) soundsystem that they house in the monster clubs in Ibiza and my favorite place to play in Tokyo, Womb. It was so fucking loud no wonder i have tinnitus. ME and MARK are doing our Dim mak X Cobrasnake YARD SALE and we brought some goodies. He brought shirts and i brought a few samples from our new collection and some older tees plus the hoodies. PART 1 : THE STORY

GOOD DUDE IS SORRY

I just got back from Victoria, Canada with the clothes on my back, my new REVOLVER tee that i got from homie Kiri in Tokyo, and my book. No backpack, no computer, no money nothing else... because i got robbed. The show in VIctoria was insane. THe kids were hyped and i felt good so we invited some friends up to my hotel room. Kept the crew of people small and i literally sat on my bed and played the dj again for everyone in the room. It got a little crowded so i pushed the party to another party down the street.
THere was this one kid that walked in and i remember him well cuz he kept asking to come to the "afterparty". Somehow he figured out my hotel room. And the hotel is connected to the club so it made it easy. A few other stragglers wandered in but it was under control and i wasn't fucked. i was getting there but i definitely wasnt fucked. when i mean by fucked i mean drunk. so here comes that kid and he looks twisted, drunk, not sure what he was on but i just stayed sitting on my bed greeting people playing new Bloody Beetroots tracks. Eventually we all left my hotel... at least i thought we all did. I check out this other party and an hour and so goes by and i have to get back to the hotel cuz my flight to Las Vegas is at 7am. it's about 4 40 am now and the promoter picks me up takes me back to the hotel to grab my things. I walk up to my room 116 in the STrathcona and the door is propped open. My stomach didn't drop yet but i was fucking failsafe sure i closed this door. I walk in and some shit was strewn out from my backpack - my revolver tee was on the bed, my book was on the couch, serato record sleeve thrown somewhere else and my nintendo ds charger was on the floor. i peeped back behind the sofa where i put my backpack and it was gone. my fucking computer and shit was fucking gone. all i could think about was how much money was in there and my fucking computer, my fucking computer gone.... like that... what the fuck. by the way im never carrying money with me anymore. except for a few dollars. eventually i went to the airport going over in my head a million times how this could have happened. there is just no fucking way i left this door open. just no fucking way. how did someone get back in to this room... unless they hid in the bathroom??? really?? nooooo... that's just tooo stalker weird. but it had to be. it had to be the case. i was also worried about my next two gigs in the next 24 hours. i had a 12 -5pm gig for Volkswagen in Las Vegas and a 12-2am gig in San Diego all in the same day. How am i gonna dj? i have a few friends in Vegas. one of which is Tina T. She told me she's never let anyone dj from her computer about sixteen times so i owe her big otherwise i would have had to jump in a clown suit and do some sort of dance for these people coming to buy cars or something. by the way i would never do that. and jesse from mstrkrft spent the whole day with Jacob my assistant sending over tracks so i had something to play for san diego. it all kinda worked out in the end. then later that day while im sulking about my loss i get an email in my blackberry saying they FOUND MY BACKPACK with my computer in it and a note. THE DUDE LEFT A NOTE!!!

I am a huge fan of yours, I love what your crew does. Last night, (March '07) at Element, there were some people who came to join with you after your show. I snuck in and hid behind the shower curtain. I was highly intoxicated, which when everyone had left, led me to come out into your room and take your napsack > lapttop inside. I have never stole before and never plan to again. Here is your stuff. I saw your money and ggot freaked. I truly amd sory and feel horrible for taking advantage of a great person/DJ. I still can't believe he hid in my bathroom behind the shower curtain. and i couldn't believe i was getting my computer, dough, and shit back to me. i still can not fucking believe what just happened. i still haven't slept either. so now im trying to figure out how im going to get my computer back to me before my sunday gig in vegas monday gig in la and tuesday gig in dallas. and then i get another email from the promoters.... they found SURIVEILLANCE PHOTOS of the dude walking out with my backpack. this is how i knew it was the same guy i was talking about. here are the photos.

look at the time... 3:28am. this was minutes after we left my room to this party.

somehow the clock went backwards but hes taking a look around probably with relief that he got away

now he's running cuz he can't believe he made it this far. hahhahaa wowwww.

 

the promoters in victoria was amazing and really went out of their way to help me out. shane and danny. good fucking dudes. they went all over town to find a shipper to send back my stuff by sunday but nothing can happen. then my good homie at Crispen for Volkswagen came through and made sure i got my stuff back to me by Sunday. Every single time we work with them good shit happens. Anyways, now im sitting at my computer looking at my backpack and seeing almost everything that was in it still in it. and honestly i am not mad at the dude because he had the bigger balls to return everything, almost everything. im missing a charger. like "gooddudeissorry" said "believe in love and karma" ... and always check behind the shower curtains before you leave your hotel after having a party.

PART 2 : THE REST OF THE WEEK

there's actually a lot of shit happening this week that we are proud to announce. we had THE BLOODY BEETROOTS from Italy fly in sunday to LA for the first time. We took them for a few days from their MSTRKRFT tour they are doing across the US to introduce them to our family. We've recently signed this Italian duo are more than excited about our long future together. They did it at LAX at our Banana Split party, they will be on INDIE 103.1 on FEEL MY HEAT, Danny Masterson and BRent Bolthouse's Monday show at 9pm tonight. By the way its the second biggest show on Indie behind JOnesy's Jukebox and its my favorite show on the radio period. I'll be on the radio with the boys and taking them to my party that im djing on monday at Club One Sunset at 8730 Sunset Blvd. THE BLOODY BEETROOTS FOREVER!

From mexico city cobrasnake and i fly to Omaha Nebraska where we meet up at the Faint studio to start recording our first record for our new band HERCULEZ.

HERCULEZ consists of Jacob Thiele (Faint), TOdd Fink (Faint), Alex Ridha (BOys Noize), Steve Aoki, Mark CObrasnake. We will be recording for a future release on Dim Mak Records.

tonight is a special night for our dim mak tuesdays... we are almost coming up on our 4 year anniversary.. the longest running indie/electro party in la. and just for kicks we got our good homie DJ AM, Danny Masterson aka Momjeans doing an earlier set at 11pm. Lo Fi Fink from Europe doing a dj set. and I'll be closing doing a one for one with a very special guest that we can't announce. THem Jeans and Dan-O wil be opening tonight.
